Teotihuacan is the most visited archaeological site in Mexico. It is located 50 kms (about 1 hour) away from Mexico City. The ancient city is still a mistery in many ways. It fell around the year 650 C.E.
Then we can mix several complementary visits: Basilica de Guadalupe, Teotihuacan mural paintings or a 16th century convent: you choose!

Cacaxtla is an archaeological site located 110 kms (about 2 hours) away from Mexico City. It was a city from olmecas xicallancas, and it flourish around year 900 C.E.
Then we will go to Tlaxcala, capital city of the Tlaxcala state. Visit its historical downtown, and shares the art of Talavera, a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, with Puebla.
Xochicalco is an archaeological site located 130 kms (about 2 hours) away from Mexico City. It was a city that flourish between the years 650 C.E. and 900 C.E., after the fall of Teotihuacan and the rise of Tula.
It has been included as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999. After this visit, we will stop in an amazing spot in the city of eternal spring: Cuernavaca.
Cholula is one of the most important archeological sites in Mexico. The area had been occupied to at least the 2nd century BCE. Its main temple was finished around the 9th century C.E., and it’s considered one of the largest human-built structures in the world.
Cholula was important during the arrival of the European conquistadores, making its town a beautiful mix of the pre-Hispanic and catholic ideas.
Tula is an archaeological site located 90 kms (about 1:45 hours) away from Mexico City. It was the capital city of the Tolteca, one of the most important cultures in the central region of actual Mexico. Its influence reached as far as the Yucatan peninsula.
It influenced directly on many myths of the Mexica (Aztec) culture.
